PWS was founded on November 8 2000. During the first years of her existence PWS was purely a software development company working for and financed by her mother company Venture Technologies N.V.

The assignment was to develop a total solution for the hospitality industry whereby the following mission was defined:

“Build a total web based solution for hotels and resorts, using the latest technology, whereby the Internet (central) and Intranets (local) are integrated painlessly. The system must consider Sales, Marketing and Reservations as the first priority, creating a single central inventory for all properties belonging to a Hotel & Resort chain, allowing all accommodations and rooms to be logically one no matter where they are located physically.”

After designing and building a CRS fulfilling the above described criteria E-Hors was born and the first installation was realized on July 1st 2004 at Summerset Colonial Hotel & Villa’s, Kuala Rompin, Pahang.

However, considering the market needs, the status of the existing products as well as the decision of one of the market leaders to stop the support of one their versions, the management of PWS and VTI decided not to launch E-Hors, but continue the development and add all modules needed in a hotel / resort to be able to offer a complete solution including CRS, PMS, F&B, Purchase & Inventory, Venue & catering and Accounting.

The R&D department grew to 7 people and many men years went into the project. In October 2005 PWS will be able to start the first implementations of a unique hotel operations & reservation system.

The current version of E-Hors V2 has required an investment of approximately 12 men years and covers most of the hospitality needs. More modules like Memberships, POS, Golf and Marina will be added to E-Hors, making E-Hors more and more the total solution it wants to be.

Not only is E-Hors at this moment in time a unique solution, also the sales and marketing strategy of PWS is rather unique in the market. Although some of the modules of E-Hors, like CRS, can be purchased as a stand alone module our focus is to provide a total solution and within that focus PWS has the approach that a customer purchasing a full license of E-Hors and maintains it’s Support and Maintenance agreement, has the right to receive not only new updates and new versions of E-Hors, but also new modules added to E-Hors. An E-Hors customer will never have to worry about new product fees or new module fees. This is strictly against the policy of PWS.
